Healthy food is not only great for our skin, eyes and all round health, it can also give us some help in the hair department.
To Maintain Healthy Hair
Try mashing a ripe avocado with an egg and then applying it to your hair for 20 minutes before rinsing with cool water.
To help with dandruff, rub some wheatgrass juice into your scalp before shampooing.
To Give Damaged Hair a Boost
Create a hair mask using:
- 1 banana.
- 1 egg.
- 3 tablespoons of honey.
- 3 tablespoons of milk.
- 5 tablespoons of olive oil.
Mix all the ingredients together and then smooth over your hair and leave for 15-30 minutes before shampooing out.
Add some moisture to your locks by combing some olive oil through your hair, popping on a shower cap and then wrapping a warm towel around your head. Relax for 45 minutes and then shampoo and rinse your hair.
To Refresh Your Hair Color
Boil the jug while you’re shampooing your hair and then make up a pot of tea using the guide below. When the tea has cooled to room temperature, rinse it through your hair and then leave it for 5-30 minutes to naturally refresh your hair color, add shine and boost the condition of your hair.
- Blonde hair: chamomile tea.
- Brown hair: earl grey tea.
- Red hair: lavender tea.
