What face shape am I? How can I tell? Can you can look at my photos :), I think I'm square? Please link to tell me where I can learn what shape I am.
Hi, our hair consultation lists the characteristics of the different face shapes and will also allow you to search for styles based on your face shape so I recommend giving it a try. As for your face shape, I've checked the photo in your account, and based on the photo, it looks as though you have an oval face shape. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
Hi, I'm just wondering what blonde would suit me. I'm quite pale-ivory and I have hazel eyes so I know I have a warm undertone, but I'm just so pale and I don't really like golden blonde all that much and I want to go really light but am worried I will look washed out. I get highlights and lowlights put in atm. Pls help! Thanks :)
Hi, blonde colors (other than Golden Blonde) that will match a warm skin tone are Beige Blonde or Light Titian. If you really want to know what light blonde will suit you most, however, I recommend visiting a hairstylist in person who can assess and confirm your skin tone and recommend which blonde will suit you most and how light you will be able to go without looking too pale. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
Hi! Do you know if there is any at-home DIY haircolor (like Loreal) that you think would match the color Light copper chestnut from the viritual hairstyles colors? I really want that haircolor, but i think hairsalons is a little expensive. My hair is now light honey blonde, so do you think it would be hard to achieve the right color, like it is in the viritual hairstyles, if i try to color it myself? Thanks in regards!
Hi, I'm glad to hear that you have been able to find a hair color that you like. To answer your question, the hair colors seen on our website are unfortunately not available in stores and have been made exclusively for use with our program. If you would like to try and match one of the colors then we suggest taking a color print out of the hair color to a hair stylist as they will be the best person to speak to about matching the color, and can also offer personal advice on possible alternative colors if need be. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
Hi, I have dry wavy hair so to improve the texture I have been getting them rebonded every 6 months for past 2 years. However now I want to outgrow that and return to my original hair texture. However my hair at hairline tends to be very dry and frizzy. I use conditioner after washing hair and also Loreal's leave in conditioner. But that does not help much. Any advice? Also based on my face shape, could you tell me what would be a good haircut for me?
Hi, as I cannot see your hair in real life, it is hard to assess the level of damage and dryness you've been experiencing, so I would recommend that you have a chat to your hairstylist the next time you're at the salon about some in salon treatments that will improve the condition of your hair, and what you might also be able to do at home. As for haircuts that will suit your face shape, I suggest trying our hair consultation. It will allow you to specify your face shape and other features about your hair and then give you recommended styles and cuts to try. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
Hi! I have an oval shaped face and I wanted to know if a short spiked girl's haircut would look good on me. I was specifically looking at the "CJ Baran" and "casual short straight hairstyles" and was wondering if you could tell me if they would be good hairstyles with my face shape. Thanks!
Hi, it's great to hear that you've found a style that you like. The CJ Baran hairstyle is suitable for oval face shapes so it will suit you. As for knowing which other casual short straight hairstyles will be good, just click on the hairstyle info icon with each hairstyle and you'll see information that lets you know what type of face the hairstyle suits. You could also try our hair consultation which will give you all the styles that will suit an oval face shape and other features about your hair, such as your hair texture and length etc. Good luck! Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
Please look at the hairstyle & color I selected. Is it correct for my skin color? The tips said: "A little moulding cream..." What is moulding cream?
Hi, I have taken a look at your photo as requested and believe you have a ruddy complexion and suggest trying our hair consultation with ruddy selected (you have previously selected fair-cool) to see which hair colors are best for you. The haircut/style you have selected is suitable for your face shape (which is oblong) and I recommend searching for more oblong styles using the hair consultation. In regards to your question about moulding cream, moulding cream can be used an alternative to wax and has less of a glossy finish. It is perfect for creating soft curls, flicks, waves and soft up-styles without weighing the hair down and can be found where all good styling products are sold. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
After looking at the diagrams for face shape, I need to make sure that I have picked the correct one. I think my face is oblong? Could someone please let me know.
Hi, I have taken a look at your photo as requested and believe that your face shape is oval. Although it is similar to an oblong shape, your face is longer than it is wide and has a round hairline and chin, which makes it an oval shape. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
I am not sure about my face shape. Hence I often get confused when I use the virtual hairstyler. Could you please have a look at my photos and let me know my face shape?
Hi, I've taken a look at your photos and believe that your face shape is oval. This is great news as you should find that most hairstyles will suit you. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
I can't seem to figure out my face shape. I've gone between round, oval, and heart. my pics can be found at: http://www.thehairstyler.com/optimizer/galleries/4039/photos.
Hi, it can be confusing choosing a face shape, especially if you do find that your face shape matches numerous different shapes. One tip to remember is to choose the face shape that has the higher number of characteristics that are most similar to your face. As requested, I've looked at your photos and I believe that your face shape is oval. This is because your face is slightly longer than it is wider and it is oval/round in appearance. If your face was round then it would be of equal width and length and a lot shorter in appearance. And if it was heart then your chin would be pointer. I hope I've helped. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
I have been unable to determine my "face shape" and therefore can't find an option for hair styles. I have added in my information that I have medium length hair, fine , thin and straight (all a girl could wish for ) (not) but as I said I am baffled regarding my face shape. My photo is in my details and I wonder if you could give me a clue to what I should be looking at when I go to look for hairstyles. Thanks in anticipation, Ruby.
Hi Ruby, based on the photo in your account, I would say that you have a heart face shape. The widest part of your face is your forehead, while the narrowest part is your jawline/chin area, giving you a classic heart shape. I hope I've helped! Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
Hello, I'm another person in need of help determining my face shape. I think it's oblong but can you confirm this?
Hi, I would say that based on your photo, you are closer to a diamond face shape. This is because the widest part of your face is your cheekbones, while your forehead and chin are both narrow. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
Hi, can you help me with my face shape and a hairstyle that is appropriate with the following attributes: 1. Over 45 years old. 2. Thick and curly hair. 3. Large frame and weight. Susan
Hi Susan, based on the photo in your account, I would say that your face shape is oval. To find styles that will match an oval face shape, your age, your thick curly hair and your frame and weight, please use our hair consultation. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
I have dark blonde hair and I get blonde highlights, then she uses an ash blonde toner. The toner washes out long before my hair needs to be highlighted again. My question is- is there a way to tone my hair at home between highlights? I found a product at Sally's by Wella that is labeled as a "toner" but the lady at Sally's told me it wasn't the type of toner I was looking for and that it would change the color of my non-highlighted hair. Is there a toner that I could buy for at home use that is similar to what they use in the salons?
Hi, there are some toner shampoos that can be bought from hair supply stores that will help to tone highlighted hair at home, but they work in the same way as the product you have described that you found at Sally's. The advice you were given that using at home toners could change your non- highlighted hair is correct, so it's likely any products you use at home could damage the non-highlighted parts of your hair. If you are finding that your toner is washing out too quickly, I recommend that you instead ensure you are using a shampoo and conditioner that is designed for color treated hair (specifically blonde treated hair) and that you try to limit how often you wash your hair so the toner doesn't fade as quickly. If these options do not help then you may need to consider having your highlights touched up more regularly. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
Hi there, it seems to be the million dollar question - what is my face shape?! I thought maybe heart shape, but am really torn after trying to work it out, now totally confused! Any help kindly appreciated :) Kae.
Hi Kae, after looking at all three different photos in your account, I would say your face shape is closer to a square. You have wide cheekbones, like a heart face, but your chin area is more solid and square in shape. It can be difficult when deciding on a face shape, especially when your features match to various different shapes, but the key is to choose the shape that shares the majority of your features. In your case, the wide cheeks and square jawline/chin put you closer to a square shape. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
Hi Serah, Thanks so much for answering my question so quickly regarding my face shape, though now I'm really lost as I did the measurements after posting the question and from what I read a square is roughly the same each way? My forehead is 12cm, cheeks 13cm, jaw 11cm and length is 19cm.. Is it possible I could be oblong? The photos were quite unclear sorry, but I have uploaded another that I hope is better if there is any chance you'd have a minute to look again! Thanks so much for your help, it's amaxing how hard it is to pick our own face shape! Kindest Regards again, Kae :)
Hi Kae, great to hear from you again. After taking a look at the new photo in your account, I can confirm that I agree that your face shape is oblong. It looked very square in the last photo I saw (the one where your hair is out around your face), but now after seeing the photo where your hair is pulled back and the outline of your face is clearly visible, it definitely looks oblong. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
Hi, I'm a man with hair below shoulders. I now would like to have it styled in a very feminine curly style. I do not mind to change color or make extensions. Do you have any suggestions?
Hi, if you're unsure about the type of hairstyle to try then I recommend giving our Find My Perfect Hairstyle consultation a go. It will ask you questions based on your own personal attributes to help work out what is the right hairstyle for you. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
Hi, I'm not sure exactly what shape my face is as a couple seem to fit. And I'm not too sure on colouring. I want to colour my hair but have no idea what hair colour or style will suit me. - Confused.
Hi, based on the two photos in your account, your face shape looks oval (due to the shape and length). Because your hair is not completely pulled off your face so that I can see your entire shape, however, this is just an estimate based on the outline and length of your face that I can see. I noticed you have filled in our hair consultation and recommend that you fill it again using oval as your face shape. This will give you hairstyles that will suit, and will also give you advice on what hair colors will suit your complexion. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
I would like someone to look at my picture and tell me for sure if my face is oblong, oval or round. I think it is oblong but want to make sure. I would like to cut my hair short but I am over 50 and some of the hairdo's that I fit to my face are way too young and punk'd. So I am disappointed in my choices to compare with on this website. Anyways, what short to medium haircuts are best for my face shape, being over 50, straight hair?
Hi, I have taken a look at your photo and believe, due to the length of your face, that the shape is oblong. To find hairstyles that will suit your face shape, age and length etc, please try our hair consultation again using oblong as your face shape, and remember that even though the styles may look like they suit a younger crowd, you can still take them to your hairdresser and ask her to tailor the idea and basic look and structure of the style to suit you. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
I am 55 years old and plan to color my hair some kind of a brown tone, not too dark or light. I have always had blonde hair and my last hairstylist made my hair so light my face is now pale in appearance. Is there a safe brown hair coloring that can bring out my facial features and not look so "suprising". Also, what highlights would you use? I thought about a few copper or blonde highlights, that way I still have some blonde in my hair. Thanks.
Hi, anyone can wear any hair color they like, just as long as that hair color is tailored to their skin tone. I suggest that when you visit your hairstylist next that you ask her to confirm your skin tone and let her know that are interested in trying a brown hair color and some complimentary highlights. That way she knows what you want and can make the right suggestions based on your skin tone and needs/wants. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
I can't figure out for sure what face shape i am. I think i am oblong? Anyways, can you help? I have a picture of me on the web site. Thanks Sonja
Hi Sonja, if you can't figure out your face shape then, I recommend you try our face shape quiz. It will help you work out your face shape. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
I'm confused about my face shape. Please help.
Hi, I have taken a look at the two photos in your account and it looks as though your face shape leans towards both a round shape and a triangular shape. When your face shape closely resembles two face shapes, it's best to go with the shape that shares the most characteristics with your own. Because your face looks as if it is slightly longer than it is wider, I believe it to be closest to a triangular shape. I hope I've helped. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
Hello! I think my face shape are very round, and I am looking for something with a little height on top, not too much round the ears but a little length in the neck. And I want a soft or elegant look! Please give me some advices, cause I can`t seem to find any on my own! Yours Sincerely Aud Chatrin.
Hi Aud, if you're after a style for your round face then I recommend reading this article: a href="https://www.thehairstyler.com/features/articles/hairstyles/the-right-hairstyle-for-your-round-face-shape">Round Face Shape - Hairstyles That Suit You. I would like to change my hair colour to a nice red or a mixture, have medium brown eyes and light complexion. It's jaw length and I don't want to go short (I am 57). Help please.

My daughter's photo is uploaded and she is looking for a shoulder length haircut that will look good on her. Something different and trendy. Have any suggestions?
Hi, if you're after a certain hair length, I suggest giving our hair consultation a try. You can add your daughter's specific features and then the length of cut that she wants and it will recommend styles that best suit her. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
I am a brunette and have now had my hairdresser to permanently color my hair (brown) to cover the gray. I have also added a few beige blonde highlights. My hair is in good condition and I get it trimmed or cut every 8 weeks. Question: My hairdresser says she cannot perm my hair because of the highlights. What is your opinion? Can I get my hair permed? Thanks, Jeannie Hall
Hi Jeannie, perming solution on top of the highlights and the permanent hair color will damage the hair, especially because the highlights are beige blonde. The peroxide used in them would be at least 40vol which is very high in PH, so then adding perming solution on top of that, which is a PH 15 (the highest), it will definitely break and snap your hair. That means that your hairdresser's advice against perming on top of your highlights and hair color is right. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
I am working on uploading a better picture, but I need help with figuring out my face shape. All my life I've been told it's round, but now I'm starting to wonder if I'm more Oval or Heart. Can you help? Thanks!

Hi, I would suggest uploading your photo (if you haven't already done so) and trying the hairstyle on to see how the color looks Ariana Grande. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
Hello, I have been trying to figure out what my face shape is. I think it is oblong or diamond but I don't know for sure. Can someone look at my pictures and tell me what face shape I have? Thanks :-D Jonathan.

Hi! I've always had long wavy hair. I know it's the sexiest haircut on me but I'm getting bored and want to try a bob haircut, but I'm not sure whether it will suit me because my face is round and wide. I tried the virtual hairstyler but I'm still not sure. Can you please advise? Thanks!
Hi, the great thing about a bob haircut is that it is versatile enough to suit any face shape. For an idea about the type of bob hairstyle to try, take a look at this article: Round Face Shape - Hairstyles That Suit You. I also recommend trying different bobs on in the Virtual Hairstyler again. It's the best way to get an idea about a look without having to cut your hair! Once you narrow down some styles you like on your photo, take them to your hairdresser and discuss what you want before committing to the chop. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
Hello, can you take a look at my picture? I'm not sure what kind of face I have oval or the other? Also I was looking through the pictures but I only added the one I could find on my computer which isn't that great. Hopefully I can take a better one soon. But my question is what is a good haircut for me? Every time I go get my haircut I end up thinking it's bad. I want a haircut that suits me with my "wavy hair" and a short haircut because I have rather large ears! I'm 16 with reddish/brown hair.
Hi, if you're confused about your face shape then I recommend taking our easy face shape quiz. It will ask the questions about your face that only you can answer to help work out what is the correct shape. After you've done the face shape quiz, try our hair consultation. It will allow you to choose your face shape, hair type, length etc and then recommend styles that will work for you. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
My hair is thin, long and straight. I have a diamond face shape with a short forehead. My complexion is red and I have a large nose. What hairstyle would suit me best? I would like a short style.

It will allow you to choose all the options you have listed (and more) to find the right short hairstyle for you. Give it a try here: http://www.thehairstyler.com/hair-consultation. Hi, I have looked at the pictures and have taken the face shape quiz but it tells me different answers so I can't figure out what face shape I have. Can someone please help me out? Thanks.
Hi, if you are answering the face shape quiz honestly and correctly (looking at your face in a mirror etc) then it will provide you with the right face shape. It works by taking into account all of your features and matching them to the most common face shapes. If you are getting multiple answers then it means that you are changing your answers every time you fill in the form. Please fill in the form once and choose the answers that most match or relate to your features and you will receive the right advice. Thank you. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
Hi - I am 58 and I used to have fine hair but full looking, but now it is getting finer and thinner as I age. What cut is best for this type of hair. I have a square face and right now my hair is chin length but needs to be cut shorter because it looks thin and stringy. What kind of cut do I need to make it fuller? I used to get my hair textured a little to make it fuller but it is so fine now I don't think that kind of cut would be right. Am I correct in saying this? Also, I have a side bang not full across.
Hi, with a square face shape, any haircut that you get will still need to be one the softens around the sides of the face so not to enhance the "squareness". A short to medium hairstyle with layers will help give the illusion of thicker hair but this will depend on how the hair is styled. Keep the side bangs or a side part as this will help compliment your face. Blow-waving the hair to add volume or using hot rollers will boost fine hair, just remember when styling to use light products (e.g hairspray) so that you don't weigh your hair down. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
I'm having trouble finding the right hairstyle. I've always worn my hair long and I'm a little afraid of change. Also, I'm short (5'0''), but have broad shoulders. Can you look at my pic and recommend something for me? Thanks in advance.
Hi, if you're unsure about the type of hairstyle to try then I recommend giving our "Find My Perfect Hairstyle" consultation a go. It will ask you questions based on your own personal attributes to help work out what is the right style for you. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
I think I have a triangular face. I couldn't decide so I tried on hairstyles in all categories. Oblong and Triangular hairstyles seemed to work best on my face. Since my face is so angular I thought I might be a square. However the hairstyles for the square face didn't work out as well. What do you think my face shape is?
Hi, if you don't know your face shape, you can take our easy face shape quiz at this link: Face Shape Quiz - Determine Your Face Shape In 4 Easy Steps. It will ask questions about your face to help you work out what your face shape is. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
Hi, could you tell me my face shape and what cut is good for me? Would anything below the shoulders and feathered be good? I need help.
Hi, our face shape quiz will let you know your face shape. After you know what your face shape is, I recommend using our hairstyle consultation. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
I am 57 years old, lighter skin with a slender build and weight. I have a small face. I have been coloring my hair for many years a blondy tone. I am wondering when a person should consider going grey as I am all grey and how to go about it without feeling depressed? Also what would be the best haircut style? My hair is super straight.
Hi, the decision to go grey can be a tough one and there are no set rules. As long as you are still comfortable with the way that you look with colored hair, then you can keep dying your hair at any age. Just ensure the color is flattering for your skin tone. In regards to finding the right cut for you, I recommend trying our hair style consultation. It will allow you to select all of your personal features (age, face shape, hair type etc) and receive styles from range to suit you. I would also recommend taking a trip to your salon and having a chat with a hairdresser who can see your skin tone, current hair color, condition and style in person. This way, they will be able to take everything into account and discuss with you in detail your grey hair and the type of cut that will suit your lifestyle so you can find the right look for you, and get advice on how you can go grey gracefully. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
I want to know my face shape- what do you think?
Hi, you can try our face shape quiz to find out your face shape. Then you'll know which hairstyles suit you best, based on your face shape, by viewing each hairstyle and reading the face shape info. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
Hi - I have a very oblong face with a long chin (a little too wide to be called "pointy" though). With such an angular face, I've struggled to find the right hairstyle to off-set or play down my long chin. I've seen the general advice about width in your hairstyle and avoiding volume on top, but do you have any suggestions for downplaying a long/prominent chin? Jeanne
Hi, the following article outlines some ideas for short, mid-length and long hairstyles that will flatter a long face shape: Hairstyles For Your Oblong Face Shape: Short, Medium And Long. As well as avoiding volume at the top of your head and adding width through the chin area, hairstyles that involve bangs can also help. If you haven't already done so, I also recommend typing the word "oblong" into our hairstyle search to view articles and hairstyles that are suited to your face shape. I hope I've helped! Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
If I wanted to make a hairstyle and keep it for the duration of a day, what kind of products can I use if I have medium to long length hair (8cm long)?
Hi, any strong hold products such as hairspray, mousse or gel will keep a medium to long hair length style in place all day. The product that you need to use all depends on the specific type of hairstyle you are trying to create and keep. If the style that you want is a hairstyle from our site, then we provide product and styling information with each look. Just click on the "How to Style" icon provided. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
Hi, would you please help me to determine my face shape? I'd really like to cut my hair short in a pixie cut. I'm wondering if I could still wear glasses with that 'do. I'm 18 with nearly baby-fine hair, thin and fair-skinned. I'm also wondering if I could go copper or any shade of red. Or if it would look better short in a different color than my natural, which is a light brown. - Sherry
Hi Sherry, I recommend taking our face shape quiz. It will ask you questions and help you work out your correct face shape. In regards to whether a pixie cut will suit you, it all depends on your face shape. As for hair colors, the best way to see if you'd look good in a certain color before dying your hair is to use our virtual hairstyler to try on red hair colors or whatever hair colors you think will look nice. If you haven't done so already, I also suggest that you try our Find My Perfect Hairstyle consultation. It will allow you to select your personal attributes, such as your skin tone, face shape and recommend hairstyles and hair colors that will suit you. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
Hey, I was just wondering if you could help me with my face shape, and any clues on hairstyles to suit me? I think it's an oblong, but I have prominent cheekbones. I've already had a fringe with long sides and it's starting to bore me, so I'm looking for something a bit shorter as I get older. Thanks.
Hi, the majority of your features actually lean more towards an oval face shape, which means that you have the potential to suit a lot of great hairstyles. To find out more about an oval face shape, take a look at the article "Oval Face Shape - Hairstyles That Suit You" . To then find styles that will suit you, I recommend using our hairstyle consultation. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
Hi, I am a 30 year old male with short length hair (usually keep it at 2-3 inches). I am probably about 75% white and my natural color is medium brown. Now here is my problem. For many years I have been crew cutting my hair and dying it black. Since growing it a bit (the last 5 months) I have colored the white regrowth a mixture of natural medium brown with a dash of dark ash blonde (was told the ash would prevent any golden/red tones). My hair was still black. Then I increased the dark ash blonde to a 75/25 ration. Still black. Tried just the medium brown. Still black. I am now onto light brown with a dash of dark ash blonde (all the above has been the suggestion of the salon colorist) and it seems like it is still too dark. What's wrong? I develop the color properly as per the instruction, leave it on for longer than the 30 minutes to 100% cover the grey and it is coloring over white hair. I'm at a loss really. I've read everywhere that for my hair to look natural I should not go too dark but I can't seem to go lighter. Cheers.
Hi, if your hair was black from root to tip (artificial black) to begin with, you will not be able to achieve a lighter result by coloring over it as artificial color will NOT lighten another artificial color. That may be why that no matter what mixture you use, it always remains black. You would have to either grow out the black and cut it off or have a chemical processes done to remove it. You may also find that, after going over your hair with so many colors and mixtures, you are creating a build up of artificial color therefore always ending up with a dark/black result. The filler you will need to use (e.g the dash of dark blonde you have been using), will depend on the medium brown you are trying to achieve. In this case, I think the best way to get the color you want is to have your color done in a salon. That way a professional can assess your hair's condition and color and provide the right color and technique to achieve the medium brown that you want. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
Hi, I'm a male aged 24 and I am looking to get a new hairstyle. I have a longish face, I'd say it's oblong with a protruding nose and somewhat large ears. I have tried your virtual makeover section and like the Chace Crawford style it picked and also the Ricky Martin fauxhawk style. My main question is would a fauxhawk really suit a long face as I like the style but I'm not sure if I could pull it off. Could you please confirm my face shape and tell me what would suit me the best? Thank you.
Hi, to answer your questions, your face is oblong (based on the images you provided) and the fauxhawk hairstyle will suit an oblong face shape. To help our members find the right look for them, all of our styles come with hairstyle info that lists which face shapes the hairstyle will work for. I recommend using this information when you're looking through our range of styles to choose the right option for you, and then trying the hairstyle on your photo as the final confirmation you need to know if the look is what you want. Thank you. Kind regards, Serah Schuster - THS Hair Consultant.
I am looking to change my hairstyle. I think my face shape is square, is this correct? Are there any short hairstyles that take 20 minutes or less for my face shape? I have straight, fine limp hair but high density. I uploaded a picture. If I don't like that one can I upload another?
Hi, if you don't know your face shape then I recommend taking our face shape quiz. Once you have confirmed your face shape then you can look for styles on our site that will suit that face shape. All of the styles on our site come with hair information that will tell you what face shape the style suits (or you can do our hairstyle search and type your face shape as the keyword. For styles that take 20 minutes or less, I recommend selecting "Styling Time" in our search. As for your photo, you can add up to 50 photos at a time, so if you don't like your current one, you can change your photo until you add one that you do like. I am completely lost and confused now from looking at all hairstyles. My hair is fine, takes products to give it volume and lift. I'm not sure what shape my face is? I would like a shorter style with layers to give my hair lift. I also would like some highlights to compliment my complexion. I would say it's a light olive complexion? I like the blonde highlights but know the damage it can do. I like the tousled, messy, sexy look which can be scrunched, straight or curled. I usually just blow-dry my hair and go. I also would like some bangs because I have a widows peak. I cant seem to find the right hairstyle any suggestions?
Hi, it's sounds like you already have a pretty good idea about what you want so I would suggest that you give our "Find My Perfect Hairstyle" consultation a go. It will allow you to enter your skin tone, face shape, widows peak information (and lots more) and specify the texture and hair length etc that you are looking for. To narrow down your face shape, we have a great face shape quiz which is very easy to use. After giving the consultation a try (you can use it as many times as you like), use the Virtual Hairstyler to try the results given on your own photo so that you can see firsthand what will and won't suit you. Hi, I have a horrible crown at the back right side of my head. I have had many wild styles throughout my life. At the moment I have short spiky top with slightly longer back and sides hoping that it would hide my crown between the transition from short to long hair. This hasn't really worked though. I have straight black hair. Would textured layer, choppy layer or something else work for me please? Thank you.
Hi, with stubborn crowns you can either have a very short hairstyle to blend in with the "whirl", or long hair with enough length to hold it down flat to the head. During the transition of growing it from short to long, you will go through a stage where it will be hard to manage, but you will have to make do and remember that this will only be temporary until your hair has enough length to weigh the crown down. Style your hair in the same direction that the crown grows to avoid the out-of-control look until it has enough length for the crown to sit flat, and avoid textured layers through the crown area as this will make it worse and harder to control.
